The open standard
.laplaspack

An open, MIT-licensed format for portable AI memory — a SQLite container with causal provenance, offline signing, and a formal grammar. Not a service you call. A file you own, read, and verify.

A pack is a SQLite file. The source is the truth.

Three tiers — and the division is the whole idea: a third party can adopt the format with only the source and the spec.

Canonical
The only truth
lmd_source, commits, manifest — the human-authored text and its build provenance.
Derived
Rebuildable
entities, edges, thinks — projections a reader can reconstruct from the source alone.
Optional
Acceleration
FTS, sparse postings, embeddings — recall aids, never authoritative. A pack with none is still valid.

Everything is public, and MIT.
